Running a New Experiment at SSEL

Any experimental protocol run at SSEL must first be approved by the director. Here are the steps required to receive approval:

1. Any new experiment must first have approval from the Caltech IRB. The approval should mention by name all researchers involved in the study
2. Any new experiment needs to be submitted to the director for approval using the SSEL New Experiment Form
3. Once approved, a new experiment type can be created on the SSEL subject recruiting website
